Long Over Due!

So this post is long over due! As most of you know I am not 28 weeks pregnant anymore! ha! A lot has happened in the past 3 months! I guess the first big news is that Jaye passed his P.E.Exam!! Yay Jaye! The test was 8hours long and he was so glad when he was finished! I am so proud of him. We have added an addition to our family as well. Madelyn Grace Robertson was born on July 7 at 1:50am. I started working from home the last week in June because my blood pressure had gotten high. I had a doctors appointment the Friday before the 4th of July weekend and Dr. Grace said that I had progressed along and if I began having contractions to come on in. So Jaye and I went on down to the beach as planned and kept a close eye on all my contractions. Tuesday the 6th I got up early that morning for work and around 1:20pm I started getting contractions. At first they were sporatic and then they got to be 5 min apart! I called Lauren and told her and she was like "Yes, i think you should call your doctor" Ha! Of course because I was working from home I hadn't had a shower yet so while my contractions are going 5 min. apart I jump in the shower to shave my legs!!! LOL!

Jaye works in Daphne which is very close to my doctor in Fairhope, so I called his mom and asked her to come get me and drive me to the doctor. Jim (Jaye's Dad) and Darlene (Jaye's Mom) came and picked me up and we headed to the doctor. Jaye met us at the doctor's office and that is when we found out Madelyn was going to join us!

I was out 6 weeks and then started back to work. I am back in full swing now and I have been able to take Mads to the office with me.

We just found out that Madelyn will be starting school at Government Street Baptist Church. She will have 4 other little girls in her room. Hannah, Eloise, and two other girls names that I can't remember at the moment. She will go there full time so mommy and daddy can work. Her teacher is super nice and has been there for 5 or 6 years.

We had our first trip to Birmingham the week of the Autism Society FROG Affair. She stayed with Nana and Aunt Lauren and Brooks came over for a play date. I think things were kind of hectic with the two of them I think they kept waking each other up from their naps.

We had our first beach trip this weekend and it was tons of fun! Madelyn loves the beach just like her mommy and daddy. She slept most of the time but her favorite part was swinging on the swing outside! She fell asleep in my arms it was perfect!

Madelyn is sleeping at night for about a 6 hour period which is good for us! She is already smiling and cooing and it is so much fun.

28 Weeks!

I went to the doctor last week for my check up and this time they tested me for gestational diabetes and my iron levels. I passed all of the tests! yay!! Everything seems to be going well with little Madelyn . Jaye and I feel so blessed and can't wait for her arrival. You have the choice at this point in your pregnancy to do a 4-D ultrasound and so we decided we would do it. It was the coolest thing to see her little face and we think she is just the cutest baby ever! At the 4-D ultrasound the specialist said that I was measuring for July 17th... of course they do not change due dates these days so July 21st is still on the calender but she might come a little early. :) During the ultrasound she slept the entire time. She slept with one arm over her eyes and the other back behind her head. The specialist tried very hard for her to move her arm... she was unsuccessful and pointed out that Madelyn was a stubborn little one already! I wonder where she might get these traits! We all know that they aren't coming from her mother (HAHAHA!)Things are getting so exciting and we are working hard to get Madelyn's nursery set up and all of the house projects finished before her arrival.
